60 seconds with Coppafeel!
Ahead of our Tits & Boogie rides Hammersmith on the 28th June, our lovely friends at Coppafeel! gave us a little snippet into WHY they do WHAT they do...
Every month at Boom HQ we'd like to highlight on a rider as a way of saying thank you for being all round awesome when they come down to Boom. This month we speak to Miguel, who finds balance with work by coming to Boom and exploring all the city has to offer!
Yo Miguel, what's your name, and what do you do?
I'm Miguel Candelario and I'm from Los Angeles! I moved to London five years ago to support the international expansion of J.Crew. It was a two year assignment that turned into three years. After the third year I was asked to stay and I jumped at the opportunity. I mean who wouldn't, London is an amazing city! I currently oversee all J.Crew locations in the UK and France and soon another sister brand, Madewell!
What do you do for FUN?
I would like to consider myself a foodie, so if it has to do with eating I consider it fun! I'm also bit of an aviation junkie so anything that involves airplanes or airports I'm all about it. Travelling and experiencing new cities is always a top priority!
That's OUR kind of fun. Where's your favourite place to dine in London?
London has so much to offer that it's difficult to choose just one. The Clove Club is on the top of my list though, the fried chicken with pine salt is life changing! However, I'm still looking for an amazing Mexican place in London. So if anyone has suggestions throw them my way...
It's been a few years since you moved away from LA, what do you miss most about it?
Los Angeles really is the perfect city if you love the outdoors. I miss having the beach and the mountains on my doorstep. My Ideal LA day was an early morning hike with friends at Runyon Canyon and then followed by brunch (I sound like such a cliché!) But most of all, I miss real Avocados!
Oh so tell us, what's your favourite type of music to jam to?
That is such a hard question. I love anything from disco to rap, but my all time favourite is Depeche Mode. I have seen them 42 times!
Last but not least...Why do you Boom Cycle?
That's an easy one. I love the way it makes me feel. It's amazing how 45 minutes can set the tone for your entire day. I took my first spin class in January with Bangs and I was hooked!
